Around The Mangrove Garden

I'm baffled, at times, by our mangrove garden...  In some areas seedlings seem strong and healthy, and in some areas they have died leaving just hardened sticks poking out of the mud.

The yellow mangroves seem to be stronger than the orientals in the tidal plain, but then, randomly, there will be a thriving oriental mangrove putting the rest of the seedlings to shame.

Similarly, for no rhyme or reason, a single yellow mangrove seedling will look sad and diseased next to it's strong and happy neighbours.

Why?  I'm still learning, trying to figure that out.

And in the mean time I'll enjoy my strolls into the forest...
