Sun Salutation, Pigeon Pose Variation




Today we are going to take the Sun Salutation we learned in the first part of the series and add Pigeon Pose to it.

I will break down the sequence first (including links to each pose if you need a refresher on the instructions) then at the end you will find a link to the video.

We begin in Mountain Pose.


Inhale, Upward Salute


Exhale, Forward Fold


Inhale, Half Forward Fold


Exhale, Forward Fold


Inhale, Lunge


Exhale, Downward Facing Dog


Inhale, Plank


Exhale, Chaturanga


Inhale, Baby Cobra


Exhale, Child's Pose.  Stay here for a few breaths.


Exhale, Downward Facing Dog


Inhale, Three Legged Dog


Exhale, Pigeon Pose. Inhale and lift through the chest.  Hold here for a few breaths.


Exhale, Downward Facing Dog


Inhale, Lunge


Exhale, Forward Fold


Inhale, Upward Salute


Exhale, Mountain Pose


And then we repeat the whole thing on the other side!
